STARSkaters may choose to take a test to progress through the SkateCanada levels of Preliminary to Gold. Skaters must have completed at least CanSkate Five to enter the Test Program. Arrangements with a coach must be made prior to registrations, and coaching fees are in addition to the GSC ice fees.
During the 2011 skating carnival, Coach Lisa Touesnard presented a bouquet of flowers to three STARSkaters who qualified for gold during the 2010-2011 skating season: Alanna Hall for Gold Skills, Cassandra Palumbo for Gold Dance and Interpretitive, and Kaitlyn Forbes for Gold Interpretitive.
